Nascot Wood Infant School opened in 1976 and accommodates 180 children—30 in each of six classes (two in each of Reception, Year 1 and Year 2). It is a well-equipped and attractive environment with spacious classrooms. This provides quiet areas for thoughtful working, and generous space for group activities. We also enjoy a delightful setting with access to a nature reserve, sports field, and a heated outdoor swimming pool, all of which we share with Nascot Wood Junior School. Our Nursery Unit opened in April 1997, and accommodates 60 children, 30 during each of two daily sessions.
Nascot Wood Infant and Nursery School has a friendly and hard-working team of dedicated teachers and support staff. Our goal is to provide a secure and happy environment in which all our children can achieve a broad and balanced education.
We recognise that every child is different and uniquely special, and yet also part of a community—so while nurturing the individual talents and interests of each child, we also support their ability to develop friendships, positive attitudes and self-discipline, regardless of race, gender or religion.
Our goal is to develop confident, curious children, whose experience of learning is positive and enjoyable. We have high expectations of everyone and set carefully monitored targets for each individual, which we believe will most effectively provide reward and challenge.
